One more month

One month, time to post...

The summer has absolutely flown by. I know it's not really over yet, but judging by the mercury level outside you would definitely think fall is here. I sit here at 11:15 in the morning in August wearing jeans and a sweater. It's odd, but I love fall so I don't mind!

I've been keeping busy over the last couple of weeks with interviews. Right now there is a company that is really standing out to me and from the looks of things I am really standing out to them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at this time next week I will be employed! Hmmm...maybe I got ahead of myself. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at this time next week I will have an offer from Company X. :-) Who I am interviewing with is not a big secret, but I would rather not put it in here for the world. If you're interested email me and I will give you more details.

I got the chance to see some hottie Chi O's last weekend at Heather's wedding. It was definitely good times, I'm just sad that we couldn't stay longer. Nat and I have traveled quite a bit this summer, so another night in a hotel room was a) not very enticing and b) not exactly within the budget. At any rate, it was good to see everyone and I am looking forward to the next time we can get together.

On a different note...over the past year I have definitely become more aware of the world around me. I guess it's kind of been a growing trend over the last few years...mostly since I've been dating Nat but it's really come to a head over the past year. Lately my attention has been focused on two things. The first, obviously the election. The second, scummy husbands.

First, the election. I am honestly afraid about this year's election. I will be voting for Bush. The thought of John Kerry having any kind of an opportunity to run this country scares the daylights out of me. Just look at his record! I'm not saying that I think Bush is the best president that we've ever had or that I don't disagree with things that he has done, but I trust him. If the last several months of listening to Kerry haven't been enough, listening to what the men who served along side of him had to say pushed me over the edge. Feel free to disagree with me, but please do your research. In other words, don't just say "I hate republicans, therefore I will vote Kerry." This guy is one of the shadiest people I have ever seen in my life...and we haven't even taked about his senate record yet. I won't go into all the details here, but I am sure that Kerry is out for the power, not the job...

Next, scummy husbands. With the news being filled with information about Scott Peterson's trail and the arrest of Mark(???) Hacking I've been thinking. Why are these cases national? Both started as missing persons, but everyone knew about them. People go missing everyday, why are these cases any different? If someone can explain that it would be great. What I've really been thinking about is what would possess someone to kill their husband or wife. I just don't get it.

I'm calling it a day from here. Until next time...
