As the title suggests it's time to start a little good news/bad news. As most of you know I went to Dallas yesterday for my second round interview with TI. As most of you don't know, I received a phone call this afternoon telling me that I was receiving a job offer. Needless to say, this is the job that I have wanted since I was a sophomore and I am super-excited. That's the good news.

Now for the bad news. First of all I feel like a complete ass. Andy Batta went to Dallas with me...if there is one other person that wanted this job at least as much as I did, it is Batta...anyway, I called Batta and still no word for him. I feel like an ass because I wasn't trying to gloat...I did want him to hear it from me either way. We work rather closely together (power lab, senior project...) and some other people knew, so I was sure he would hear sooner or later. At any rate, I'm upset for him...and I am hoping that tomorrow brings good news.

Second bad news. My job is in the Southwest...either Dallas, Houston or Tuscon (I'm not completely sure which one yet...I get specifics in the mail over break), Nat works in Minneapolis. Welcome to the world of having two people with demanding careers. I love him dearly, and know that we will work this out, but it's a little frustrating. When I called him to tell him he gave me the congratulations and I'll buy you a drink thing, but right before I hung up he said thanks for making life difficult. That kind of hurt. I know he was kidding, but...

Anyway, I'll keep you updated. I'm looking forward to getting my offer in the mail so that I can go over it and see the details. Merry Christmas if I don't get back here before then!
